The child should have completed two years and two months by June (by beginning of academic year) when seeking admission to PreKG. Additionally, the applicant must be toilet trained.

Classes 1 to 10 attend from 8.15 a.m to 3.20 p.m.

NO, children bring their own snacks and lunch. Parents are advised to send what the child normally eats only, not more. Non Vegetarian food cannot be brought to school.

  What is the fee structure?

While the fee structure is NOT available online, you may write in and ask for it. Applicants can either email the school at enquire@headstartschool.org or write a snail mail and ask for the same information.

  Is the fee refundable?

No, any fee paid is non-refundable. We offer seats to candidates on the assumption that they are going to continue studying at Headstart, and if for any reason their seats are not taken, there will be no refund of the fee paid to the school.

Why is the fee structure not available online?

Headstart believes that an applicant must know first hand how it functions and for this reason, applicants are requested to visit the school, see how classes are conducted, interact with its teachers and then if Headstart is right for him/her, the fee structure may be sought.

To which board is the school affiliated?

Headstart currently is seeking the ICSE affiliation. The 2008-09's 10th graders are being coached for IGCSE, the Cambridge University Exam which is also a meritorious exam that tests student's aptitude, analytical skills and comprehension extensively. Information on IGCSE is available on Cambridge Universty's website. A common concern for students taking the IGCSE examination in India is if the IGCSE and A level certifications are recognised by Indian Universities. The Association of Indian Universities' requirements for candidates taking the IGCSE and A level are: a minimum of 5 passes at the IGCSE level and 2 passes at the A levels. For admission to professional courses – medical/engineering, A level passes in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics and English are essential besides the 5 passes at IGCSE level. Please feel free to visit http://www.aiuweb.org/Evaluation/evaluation.asp where at the bottom half of the page, this same information is available readily.

 Does Headstart offer IGCSE coaching?

Yes, Headstart is now coaching students to take the IGCSE exam from current year 2008. Students are preparing for this exam from their 8th grade itself. Headstart currently has 14 vacancies for next years 8th grade. These students will prepare for their IGCSE exam in 2009 November and 2010 June examinations. Kindly apply on or before the 1st of June, 2008 to have your child enrolled for IGCSE's 2010 exams. Besides preparing learners for their checkpoint (8th grade level) examination, learners start preparing for the IGCSE examination from 8th grade itself in select syllabi. Information on Cambridge's IGCSE may be found on its website.
